DeepSeek integration with JDoodle.ai ​

DeepSeek is an advanced AI tool similar to ChatGPT, offering high-performance language processing and reasoning capabilities at a fraction of the cost. It provides free access to its core models, making it an attractive option for developers and researchers looking to integrate AI functionalities without hefty fees.

Integrating DeepSeek with JDoodle.ai enables you to:

  • Automate content generation and task-oriented workflows.
  • Leverage advanced reasoning for coding, mathematics, and problem-solving tasks.
  • Access a cost-efficient alternative to traditional AI models like ChatGPT.

Integrating DeepSeek ​

Retrieve your DeepSeek API key ​

  • Visit this link in your browser.
  • Log in using your Google account (or another supported login method).
  • Once logged in, navigate to the API Keys section in your account dashboard.
  • Click Create New API Key to generate a key.
  • Copy the generated API key immediately and store it securely; note that it’s shown only once.
  • Be aware that the free API tier comes with usage limits; you can review these in the billing section of your account.

Add the DeepSeek API Key to Your JDoodle.ai Project ​

  • Log in to your JDoodle.ai account and open your project.
  • If you’ve asked JDoodle.ai to integrate the DeepSeek API. For example, to enable AI-driven analysis, predictions, or responses. JDoodle.ai will automatically add the required field to the Secrets tab.
  • Go to the Secrets tab located at the top of your project dashboard.
  • You’ll see a field named DEEPSEEK_API_KEY.
  • Replace the dummy value in this field with your actual DeepSeek API key.
  • Click the Save icon in the top-right corner to apply the changes.
  • Once saved, refresh your project to activate the integration and start using DeepSeek’s AI capabilities.

Troubleshooting ​

If the API key is not working, here are a couple of things you can do:

  • Double-check that the API key is copied correctly.
  • Remove the key from the Integration Panel and paste it again.
  • Refresh your project after re-adding the key.
  • Submit a new prompt to check if the key is active. If you're still facing troubles, find bugs, or need additional help, feel free to post in our community to get help.
