Twilio integration with JDoodle.ai

Twilio is a cloud communications platform that provides APIs to send and receive SMS messages, voice calls, and more. Integrating Twilio with your JDoodle.ai projects enables businesses to build professional SMS platforms that facilitate seamless communication with customers.

Integrating Twilio with JDoodle.ai allows you to:

  • Send SMS messages to customers directly from your project.
  • Enable two-way communication with customers via a dedicated SMS platform.
  • Automate notifications and transactional messages using Twilio's API.

Integrating Twilio

Get your Twilio credentials

Visit Twilio's console in your browser and log in to your Twilio account. If you're a first-time user, complete the onboarding and verification steps. Once logged in, you'll be redirected to the dashboard.

  • On the dashboard, click the Get Twilio Phone Number button if you haven't yet obtained a phone number.
  • Locate your Account SID and Auth Token (host token) on the dashboard.
  • Copy these credentials immediately and store them securely, as they will be required for authentication.

Add the Twilio Credentials to Your JDoodle.ai Project

  • Log in to your JDoodle.ai account and open your project.
  • If you have asked JDoodle.ai to integrate Twilio (for example, to send SMS messages, WhatsApp notifications, or phone verifications), JDoodle.ai will automatically add the required fields to the Secrets tab.
  • Go to the Secrets tab located at the top of your project dashboard.
  • You will see the following fields:
    • TWILIO_ACCOUNT_SID
    • TWILIO_AUTH_TOKEN
  • Replace the dummy values in these fields with your actual Twilio credentials.
  • Click the Save icon in the top-right corner to apply the changes.
  • Once saved, refresh your project to activate the integration and start using Twilio’s communication features.

Troubleshooting

If the integration is not working, here are a couple of things you can do:

  • Double-check that the Twilio Account SID and Auth Token are copied correctly.
  • Remove the Account SID and Auth Token from the Integration Panel and paste it again.
  • Refresh your project after re-adding the Account SID and Auth Token.
  • Submit a new prompt to check if the key is active. If you're still facing troubles, find bugs, or need additional help, feel free to post in our community to get help.

Safety note

Do not share your tokens in any public or insecure channels to ensure the security of your account, including the prompting area.
